When you start with college life you are entering a new phase of life. You have freedom to make your own choices and you also get a new set of responsibilities along with your freedom which where not known to you. It is observed many of my young friends make mistake while taking financial decisions and end up creating debts for themselves. More often than not students have scholarships to take care of their college expenses or their parents pay for their college so students only need to worry about their day-to-day expenses. For others who are not so lucky to have scholarship of parents to take care of their college fees and living expenses and have to manage the money on their own. Such students are in a difficult situation.

When you are teenager, you must be thinking of going to college one day. And if you also know that your family's finance won't be enough for your college expenses then you make up your mind that you shall have to work hard to make your own money for college. The other way is to start earning money before hand when you are in school. Try to get a part time job. This way you can save some money. This may not take care of all of your future needs but will help you to some extent.

When in School you either save money for your college education, depend on grants or opt for a study loan. Grants are not easily available and hence they are not enough, the single most popular way to fund your college education is student loan.

Student loan though easy to get is very difficult to repay. Students must know what they are doing when they take such loan. There are some things to watch out for, like high interest rate the amount of loan they require, taking big amounts of loan only because it is available may get you in trouble.

It is up to you to be in command of your financial situation after your graduation and if you destiny is in your favor you may get a great paying job and repayment of the loan will be very easy.
